Overview
This is a mock website based on my friend's business. They created thier own site on Squarespace. I challanged myself to build one with my friend's permission. 2K-Detail needed a simple, modern website to highlight its services, communicate value, and make it easy for customers to reach out. The goal was to replace word-of-mouth and scattered social posts with a clear, dedicated home for the brand online.
Goals & UX priorities
I focused on answering three questions quickly: What services do you offer? How much does it cost? How do I book or contact you? The layout uses clear sections for services, a concise overview, and direct contact prompts, with special care taken for mobile layouts since many users arrive from maps or social links.
Tech stack & implementation
The site is built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Using Next.js gave me fast page loads and simple deployment, while Tailwind allowed me to build a consistent visual system with utility classes. The code is organized into small, reusable components for the hero, services grid, and contact sections, making the site easy to extend later.
Visual & interaction design
I leaned into a clean, slightly automotive-inspired aesthetic: darker backgrounds, sharp card edges, and accent colors that feel bright and fresh, like a newly detailed car. Buttons and CTAs are intentionally bold and easy to tap, especially for mobile users who might be visiting while on the go.
Outcome
The 2K-Detail site gives the business a simple, professional web presence that feels aligned with its services. From a development standpoint, it also doubled as focused practice in Next.js layout, service-focused UI, and small-business branding on the web.
